‘Canada`s Winningest Motorcycle Racer Shows His Heart’
The 6 time Superbike, 4 time Sportbike and the 2009 Observed Trials Canadian Champion Jordan Szoke started a new fund raising campaign Racing for a Cure - Change for Cancer’during a recent racing display in Brantford. Kawasaki Canada and Jordan held this public display at Strodes Deli and BBQ early in October at which time a Shoei helmet was placed on top of a container requesting everyone in attendance to drop their pocket change into. This simple set up raised over $500 in just a mere four hours for the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation. Encouraged by the public support, and the fact that cancer has also affected Jordan and his family like so many other Canadians he is pleased to announce that this program will be extended to all public events he is involved with.
‘Racing for a Cure - Change for Cancer’
Jordan Szoke presents his new program to raise funds for the Princess Margaret Foundation with his ‘Racing for a Cure - Change for Cancer’ campaign. At all of Jordan’s races and public events he is asking those in attendance to simply drop their pocket change into the Shoei donation helmet. All funds will be forwarded to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation assisting his fellow Canadians with cancer treatment and research.
Jordan`s hope of finding a cure for cancer in his lifetime is tempered with the understanding that finding a cure needs to be supported with research and funding for treatment of those diagnosed with cancer. One out of three people you know are likely to be affected by this disease. Jordan’s uncle Larry Szoke brings trackside his personal cancer battle, therefore Jordan knows first-hand of the difficulties and expense of cancer treatment. Jordan hopes that his fans and fellow competitors share his desire to raise funds from their pocket change and support his Racing for a Cure - Change for Cancer’ program.
