Larry’s final request that he provide his body to medical science and that he has no funeral speaks volumes about his battle with Multiple Myeloma. Although only given a median life time of three years, he re-wrote that data by extending it 300%! Plus to those that seen and spent time with him even though he was given this short time line and prognosis were mostly unaware of his courageous fight. It is evident his stubborn determination to succeed has been handed down in his family and re-enforced with his life’s role model.

His focus on the ‘NOW’, not the future or the past that no one has control of is evident on how he lived and how he left us. We can only learn from his courage and example. But the fact is, we still want a moment to remember him as the family and friends that we are, so we are not having a funeral, but a gathering of friends to exchange memories, stories and the joys of Larry’s time with us. We want your stories, pictures and memories so we all can share what we no longer can enjoy.

Friday March 5, 6:30-9:00 PM at the Gateway Church, north east corner of Highway 6 and Greens Road in Caledonia everyone is encouraged and invited to gather to remember Larry and support his family and friends with each other.

Here are directions to find the church, take Highway 6 South from Highway 403 Ancaster/Hamilton, you will go past the airport and just before you make it into Caledonia, look for the blue sign for Gateway Church on your left side, right on the corner of Highway 6 and Greens Road which is also the route for the Highway 6 Caledonia by-pass.
